I met Marcel at RubyConf 2006. He’s a partial Houstonion, but I’ll make an exception to everything I’ve said about H-town for him.
Marcel also appreciated that I appreciated his anecdote about backing into a pregnant lady. This made me giggle.

I met Marcel, because we couldn’t get Hal Fulton’s laptop to work with the projector at RubyConf 2004. Marcel was standing in the front helping us reconfigure X over and over again.
Since then I’ve been skimming Rails advice from him when I can. :)
